This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 27, 2009:
The first thing that springs to mind are the old adages that apply to us all:
1. Life is a sexually transmitted disease (but one could just as easily substitute the word gift for disease)
2. Life is a terminal disease (oops thats 5)
Those adages have always amused me because I agree entirely that my life springs from the celebration of life of beings before me, so it is a sexually transmitted condition.
And I agree that from birth we begin a process toward death, toward going back 'home'. :)
So lets see...ummm... umm.... my six word story: Forever reborn, enroute home. Accompany me.

Just don’t divide by Zero, lol…
I liked the graphic on your blog today. Did you design it?
But just to be saucy, think I WILL divide by zero!
Throw caution to the wind
So if you don’t here(haha) from me, well, I’ll try to get a message through to you from somewhere
:)
I think you nailed it on the head when you use the word “dis-ease.” We arrive here after floating around in a peaceful, warm bath for 9 months, and then spend the rest of our life trying to feel that good again.
Hey Otter, there you are!
I wish I were born a Japanese macaque near a hot spring in a national park. They sit around in the warm pools with ice and frost decorating their face fur and the national government airdrops food into their territories.
Life can be unfair.
I like how you transformed dis-ease into gift! Soooo true! My feeling is that if you want to find your gift, your purpose then look carefully at your dis-ease. Yes the very thing that makes you the most uncomfortable about you, what you want to hide is the thing you are meant to shine. And it takes a lifetime to go from dis-ease to gift. Such awkward steps getting there.
What you said about the ‘Japanese Macaque’, is a cute way of describing a monkey, and it’s spiritual meaning there of, Ruth.
A monkey on ones back has it’s reputation of a combination of being a mischievous itch, that protrudes from the nature of ones ‘get go’ of a manner within ones character, and which hopefully alleviates the measure of ones drive of horny-ness of, and towards a richly insightful manner of awareness, into ones accustomed nature of holy clean water, and it’s divine nature awakening’s to:-))
Love your post:)
So true, so comforting, we’re all in it together. And wise words all around.
Thank you.
